The Corphish reluctantly took Altair's wing and got back up.
The Bidoof turned to walk to the side, but was hit by the Tackle and was knocked back. It hopped back up immediately, and ran at Ulrica with a Tackle.

As her opponent came at her, seriously this time, Ulrica went to meet it head on with a Tackle, as she attempted before. While her trainer prevented her from doing so last time, he now nodded in approval. Lutfi watched, admiring Ulrica's courage and strength.
Sverre stopped laughing, and watched the Poochyena for a second with a bored look on his face, losing interest a moment later and putting his attention on Altair's actions instead. After helping his foe get up, the Pidgey flew back a bit and started chirping aggressively, provoking the Corphish into making the next attack.
In the meantime, Toukka was just wandering around Route 2 aimlessly, showing no interest towards anything that was happening to his allies.

The Bidoof collided with Ulrica, sending the Bidoof back a few feet. It got up slowly, and looked around as if in a daze.
The Corphish nodded and let out a Bubble attack at the Pidgey.

The collision, leaving a bruise on her forehead, caused Ulrica to fly back a little as well. Yet she managed to land nicely, avoiding further injury. Getting back into a fighting stance, she noticed her opponent's weird look, and began wondering why it had actually tried to fight her. She decided to wait for a moment, and watch what the Bidoof was going to do. Tyson and Lutfi stared curiously at the plump mouse as well.
To evade the incoming bubbles, Altair swiftly flew upwards, until he was about 10 feet into the air. There, he dove downwards at the Corphish for a tackle. He failed to take into account however, that he would have a hard time avoiding crashing into the ground if his foe were to dodge this attack.

The Bidoof shook it's head back and forth, then looked to Ulrica. It turned and shook it's head once more before running at it's opponent with another Tackle.
The Corphish let out another Bubble as Altair dove at it.

Altair kept going straight at the Corphish, the bubbles popping in his face, leaving foam that stung in his eyes. Yet the Pidgey bit through the pain, his eyes now closed, and kept on rushing towards his foe.
With six eyes sharply watching it, the Bidoof's attack came all but unnoticed. "Jump out of the way!" Tyson instructed, Ulrica replying with a quick nod and bark. She jumped to the right, and rolled over her back through the grass two times before getting up on her feet once more. Now about five feet away from where she last stood, she was undoubtedly safe from getting hit by the incoming tackle.

The Corphish was hit with the Tackle, and was knocked back a few feet. It weakly got up, letting out a slightly weaker Bubble attack at Altair.
The Bidoof continued running, not noticing Ulrica dodged the attack, and ran into a tree. It then backed up, after making a large 'thud' sound, and turned to look for it's opponent.

Feeling the impact of his collision with the Corphish, Altair landed on the ground. There, he quickly rubbed the foam out of his eyes. (OOC: I figure his Keen Eye ability would make this easier for him to do.) Though he was quick in removing it, he wasn't quick enough to also notice and dodge the incoming bubbles in time. As a result, he was once again hit right in the face, though he managed to close his eyes just in time. With a swift, single stroke of his left wing across his face, he managed to wipe most of the foam left with this last attack off.
As the sun disappeared into the horizon and the stars became visible, he started to really feel the pressure of his already lengthy battle, especially with his head hurting once more due to the recent collision, and the bubbles exploding in his face didn't help him at all. The Pidgey figured he wouldn't be able to keep on fighting much longer, and looked at his allies. Ulrica, a tough and proud Poochyena, who was… fighting (?) a Bidoof. Tyson, his inexperienced yet promising trainer, and Lutfi, the cute newborn Pichu, who were watching said fight (?). And Sverre, the mischievous yet trustworthy Mankey, who was watching him.
Remembering his shameful defeat at the hands of Toukka (who was oddly enough not within sight) earlier today, he came to think he was nothing more than a dead weight to the rest of his allies. And considering the rate at which the group was growing, he feared that if he did not prove himself soon, he might suffer the fate of being replaced soon.
This fate of course, he did not like in the least, and thus, he knew all would depend on the results of this battle. Sverre gave the Pidgey an encouraging nod, complete with a confident grunt and a thumbs-up. Altair knew what he had to, and chirping loud, confidently and aggressively, he rushed towards his foe for a tackle one last time, giving it everything he had in him. This would be the attack that could change his worth as a Pokémon for ever.
His act of resolve did not go unnoticed, as Tyson, Lutfi, and even Ulrica heard his war cry, and diverted their attention from the Bidoof to him. Unfortunately, this would leave Ulrica open for an attack.

The Corphish held it's claws in front to try and block the incoming Tackle. When it was hit, it got knocked back by about ten feet, landing on it's back unconscious.
The Bidoof simply stared blankly at the others, waiting for Ulrica to focus back on the battle.

The collision with the Corphish' claws caused more pain to Altair's already aching head. Yet, he kept on pushing forward, and after losing contact with the Corphish, he was propelled about four feet into the air, and landed on his back some five feet behind where his foe stopped.
His head now hurting horribly, he couldn't think of trying to get up to fight again. But hearing his trainer yell "Well done, Altair! You got him!" and similarly praiseful noises from his allies, he figured he wouldn't have to. He rose his right wing into the air in what appeared to be a bird's version of a thumbs-up, accompanied by a short, tired, but proud chirp.
Lutfi watched him full of excitement and admiration, as Tyson excitedly yelled out more words of praise, Ulrica looked proud of him as well. Sverre came over to the Pidgey, and sat down beside him, gibbering at a tone characterizing praise and respect.
After hearing these sounds of praise, Altair spread his wings out wide over the ground, and got himself some well deserved rest. As he looked at the moon and the stars shining upon him, he proudly and justly thought he had done well, and wouldn't be losing his place at his trainer's side any time soon.
After the excitement had died down a bit again, Ulrica realized she was still in a fight, and turned towards her foe again, going for another head-on tackle.
Toukka, meanwhile, noticed the night having arrived as well, and decided to get closer to the group again.

As Ulrica closed in on the Bidoof, it reared back, and jumped at the Poochyena with a Tackle.

Ulrica followed the jumping Bidoof with her eyes. Being too late to dodge it, she quickly had to come up with a counteraction. She stopped running and immediately dropped through her knees to the ground, pushing her chin and torso firmly against the ground. She positioned herself such that the Bidoof would land on her back, and when it did, she bit through the pain of the impact and pushed her hind legs up with all her strength, attempting to throw the Bidoof forwards.

Ulrica's tactic worked, as the Bidoof was set flying a few feet forwards. It landed on it's side and rolled about a foot, then lazily stood up and shook it's head, trying to regain it's balance.

Ulrica took a moment to get back into a fighting stance, her back hurting and bruised from the impact with the Bidoof.
Meanwhile, Lutfi, who was watching her fight, let out a yawn. It was already past sunset, and the tiny mouse had trouble staying awake. He sat down on the grass, and tried his hardest to stay up to see the end of Ulrica's battle, but fell asleep only a few seconds later.
Seeing this, Tyson finally noticed how late it already was, and spoke to Ulrica: "Ulrica, it's getting late! Do you think you can finish this battle soon?" To which Ulrica replied with a nod and a confident bark, before charging at the Bidoof once more for another tackle.

The Bidoof staggered towards Ulrica, still slightly dizzy. Before it could react, it was hit by Ulrica's Tackle and was knocked back down. The Bidoof slowly stood, then stared at the Poochyena, falling over after a few seconds.
